Sandra Michell / Artist
Sandy Michell is a Devonport-based watercolour artist whose practice reflects a lifelong dedication to the medium. After completing an Associate Diploma of Fine Arts at Devonport TAFE, she explored a range of artistic approaches before finding her strongest voice in watercolour.
Formerly an Adult Education tutor, Sandy now runs classes and workshops from her home studio, sharing her knowledge and passion with new generations of artists. She has exhibited widely, including two sold-out solo exhibitions, and her works are represented in both private and public collections across Australia and overseas.
A committed advocate for the arts in her community, Sandy was a founding member of the North West Art Circle in 1989 and contributed to establishing the annual Artex exhibition in Ulverstone. Through her landscapes and nature-inspired works, she seeks to engage viewers and showcase the unique magic of watercolour.
